Training Description

Infants and toddlers learn through experiences; they use all of their senses. When teachers introduce loose parts into the child’s environment, that child is able to explore, discover, and investigate their surroundings in a deeper way that store-bought toys simply can’t do. This training will help teachers learn how to spark young children’s imagination and curiosity by using loose parts as well as how they support each developmental domain.

This training also requires the completion of an implementation plan.

Learning outcomes

• Participants will define what loose parts are and the benefits of incorporating them into the classroom.

• Participants will identify the domains that loose parts support as well as ways to support those domains.
